A nine-panel SMBC comic parodying Popeye. In the first panel, the bearded, dark-haired Bluto declares to the squinting, pipe-smoking sailor Popeye, "Popeye, I'm a-takin' yer gal!" Popeye flatly replies, "Fine." Popeye explains that every time Bluto steals his girl, he eats his spinach and gets strong, but warns, "But y'can't get strong like that without hormone effects, Bluto! Y'can't!" A confused Bluto says he doesn't understand. Popeye then grabs his own chest and shouts, "I got tits now, Bluto! Look at'em! Man-tits!" He pulls open his shirt, increasingly distraught, yelling "Popeye pledge. I'm a man, Bluto! I'm a goddamn sailor man but look! Look at these!" Bluto, taken aback, mutters "Christmas, me love te!" Popeye, sweating and frantic, screams "Look at me, Bluto! Don't you look away! You drove me to this an' don't you look away! Don't you dare look away!" Bluto cries "I yam what I yam, you bastard!" and Popeye, face contorted in anguish, wails "I yam what I yaaaam!" The joke turns Popeye's spinach-fueled muscles into a story about the side effects of steroid-like hormones. The votey is a close-up drawing of Popeye with his corncob pipe, blowing it like a whistle with the sound effect "Toot! Toot!"
