A two-character webcomic. In the main panel, a dark-skinned man seen in profile in the foreground enthusiastically tells a brown-haired person in a green shirt, who is holding an open yellow book and grinning: "It's the 21st century, but with computers and airships!" The person replies, "Weeeeird!" A caption reads: "Fun Fact: You are a character in a cheap genre fiction novel." The joke flips the usual steampunk/alt-history premise so that our actual world's technology sounds bizarre to characters in a pulpy novel. In the votey aftercomic, the same green-shirted person looks down at the open book with a wary expression and reads aloud: "Airplanes made of metal?! Yikes." mocking how our ordinary reality reads as far-fetched fiction to them.
