He says, "And with this simple pill we can now instantly cure any addiction." Panel 2: A red caption banner reads "The following day..." A frantic, sweating man in a green jacket and striped tie violently grabs the now-terrified scientist by his coat, screaming "I need more of those pills!" The scientist stammers, "But I just prescrib-" and the man cuts him off shouting "Mooore!" The joke: the addiction-cure pill has itself become wildly addictive. Votey (aftercomic): A crude, scratchy black-and-white sketch of an exhausted, wild-eyed face, with hand-scrawled text reading "No sleep forgive me," implying the cartoonist was sleep-deprived while drawing.
