A four-part comic. In the first panel, a dark-haired woman teaching at a chalkboard tells a small class, "The fundamental concept in all of biology is evolution by natural selection." In the second panel, a red-haired student asks, "You mean survival of the fittest?" and she replies, "No. We do not say survival of the fittest. It's borderline tautological and implies survival is more important than reproduction. For some reason 'survival of the fittest' got way more popular." In the third panel, shown as silhouettes on a black background, the student observes, "It does seem to have made more copies of itself," and the teacher, realizing the more popular but worse phrase has out-reproduced the accurate one, exclaims, "Son of a bitch." In the votey aftercomic, a close-up of the teacher's exasperated profile, she adds, "Still better than teaching creationists."
