Panel 1 (a man, Zach):
Zach: Hey geeks! I wanna tell you about the latest project.
Panel 2 (a woman):
Woman: I have been a boardgame geek since I was a kid.
Panel 3 (the woman):
Woman: I wrote a new game. The rules are only 47 pages long.
Panel 4 (banner): MY FAVORITE GAMES WERE ONES ABOUT TWO THINGS
Left sub-panel header: WEIRD KNOWLEDGE
Woman: Please, an ass-to-mouth question, this is when... I shine!
Right sub-panel header: TRICKERY, EVIL-TELLING, AND TALKING SHIT
Woman: The answer is goddamn ferret, brah before you lie!
Panel 5 (the woman):
Woman: About a year ago Kelly and I connected with a game designer and company to work on a concept.
Panel 6:
Woman: Basic idea is poker, but you each only get a fuzzy line up.
Panel 7:
Woman: The questions are about... science, philosophy, social science, mental history, and other stuff. We spent a long time trying to find facts that break the most common trivia.
Panel 8 (the woman):
Woman: Also a lot of this token-out things people think they were, but were not.
Woman: Not according to the Cleopatra didn't have a hood fluid with beer.
Woman: Wait? Wait? Are people saying on the internet?
Panel 9:
Woman: Nerd trivia is the heart of the game, but you also need to know how to deal. So everyone needs to play random rounds every round.
Panel 10 (a man in a robe):
Woman: The game also has an academic theme. Players begin as lowly adjuncts, profs, if you win a round you become an assistant professor. Another round and you get tenure. Another round and you ascend to the deific status of emeritus professor.
Panel 11 (the woman):
Woman: What's really fun is that the questions can be answered through deceive. So even the wisdom of the giants can get got!
Panel 12:
Woman: Being a giant geek helps, but you can get a lot of your points just by being a good sense of what you and your friends know.
Panel 13 (the woman):
Woman: One time we played a kid who really well, mostly by lucky guessing and would know the answer.
Panel 14:
Woman: Wait, she is all your knowledge too?
Woman: Drat!
Woman: She is the kind of player who everyone knows.
Panel 15:
Woman: Another time, someone won unfairly by believing the answer.
Woman: Okay, again, I guessed that everyone knows the answer.
Panel 16 (the woman):
Woman: This is a game we've had a lot of fun on, and which is designed to work for those of us who only ever sorta liked it. Try in pursuit of the to-be acquired growth and willful category!
Panel 17 (box art with cartoon stars):
Game box text: EVERYONE ELSE THINKS THIS GAME IS AWESOME
Final panel:
Click to check out the Kickstarter page. Gang has more info on the game and how to get the rewards and other stuff.
THANKS, GEEKS!
Footnote (small handwritten text at bottom): Footer also data we made for our amazing deck you can buy separately!
Votey: A small hand-lettered note in a wobbly border:
(Thanks, geeks! And while I have you, I hope you're dealing well with this nevernding year)

A long single-strip SMBC comic that doubles as an ad for a trivia board game. It opens with a handwritten note from cartoonist Zach apologizing that the strip below is an ad for a new trivia boardgame, inviting readers who aren't interested to skip to a double update instead, signed "Yours in honesty, Zach." The body is a wall of small panels in which a woman with shoulder-length hair enthusiastically explains the game she co-designed: she's been a boardgame geek since childhood, the rules run 47 pages, and her favorite games are about "weird knowledge" and "trickery, evil-telling, and talking shit." She describes the game as poker-like, with questions drawn from science, philosophy, social science, and history chosen to break common trivia assumptions, plus an academic-theme progression where winning rounds promotes players from adjunct up to the "deific status of emeritus professor." She notes you can win through clever deception even without deep knowledge, and shows a green-and-blue cartoon box whose cover reads "EVERYONE ELSE THINKS THIS GAME IS AWESOME." The strip ends with a call to click through to the Kickstarter and a sign-off, "THANKS, GEEKS!" The votey is a small hand-lettered note in a wobbly border reading: "(Thanks, geeks! And while I have you, I hope you're dealing well with this neverending year)."
