A four-panel SMBC comic. In the first two panels, a man in a suit stands beside a hospital bed talking to his dying father: he says this might be their last birthday together and it's hard to shop for someone who's dying, then recalls that when he was single for six years his father jokingly gave him a cookbook called "Cooking for 1." In the third panel he triumphantly holds up a gift book to his bedridden father, saying "Ha! I absolutely nailed you that... huh." The fourth panel is a close-up of the book's title: "Cooking for Zero" — the dark joke being that the father will soon be dead. In the votey aftercomic, a close-up of the gaunt father in the bed who says, "Did you know that cremation is a great way to lose weight?"
