An eight-panel SMBC comic, mostly narrated like a deadpan story, drawn in flat colors. Three cartoon men represent the stock characters of a bar joke: an American (stars-and-stripes shirt, sunglasses), an Englishman (bowler hat, monocle, mustache), and an Irishman (red beard, green hat). Panel 1: 'An American, an Englishman, and Irishman enter a bar.' Panel 2: 'Concerned that they are the inhabitants of a joke, they become wary.' The men look nervous. Panel 3: 'Knowing that bar jokes often end in humiliation or death, each man improvises a weapon.' Each now holds an improvised weapon. Panel 4: 'Seeing each other man's weapon, each elects to attack another' -- a dark, chaotic panel of the three lunging at one another. Panel 5: 'The American suffers a blow to the skull with an iron bar. The Englishman and Irishman are so revolted they stand silent as they watch him flop and gibber and die,' as the two survivors stare in horror. Panel 6: 'Later, the Irishman and Englishman are interrogated by the police.' Panel 7: 'Fortunately, the punchline comes before they are sent to jail.' Panel 8: an angry interrogator shouts 'What happened to the American?! Answer me!' Panel 9: the Englishman delivers the punchline -- 'He... he walked into a bar... and said "Ouch!"' A bottom caption reads it is a bonus comic for 'Soonish' pre-orderers. The red votey aftercomic is a handwritten note on a blank panel: 'It was the one day the American went out unarmed.'
