In the main panel, an angry Egyptian pharaoh in a blue-and-gold striped nemes headdress with a golden cobra ornament shouts at a bald man (seen from behind) who is his architect: "Architect! Build me a structure that makes it look like the desert got a boner while sleeping! There, I shall reside for eternity!" The joke imagines the pyramids as the pharaoh's crude self-aggrandizing demand. In the votey aftercomic, a close-up of the pharaoh's face shows him adding another command in a speech bubble: "Put my face on a cat!" (a nod to the Sphinx).
