A six-panel SMBC comic. A woman tells a man (whom he keeps calling "Tom") that she thinks they should be "just friends." The man enthusiastically misinterprets this as a proposal to become a crime-fighting superhero duo. Over the next panels he babbles excitedly about making a group, designing costumes, flying and shooting lasers with their minds, and investigating a mystery villain, growing more animated and eventually depicted mid-flight in a superhero pose, repeatedly shouting "Tom! Tom! TOM!" In the final panel the woman walks away, unimpressed, as the man complains "Tom! I'm trying to break up with you! Are you even listening?" The joke: he is so caught up in the superhero fantasy that he doesn't realize she's dumping him. The votey aftercomic shows a shield-shaped heraldic crest emblazoned with the words "JUST FRIENDS."
