Her speech bubble reads: "Okay, okay, we're nearing the blockage, and... it appears to be some sort of a... round... metal NO. ABSOLUTELY NO." The final words grow large and emphatic as she realizes what it is. The caption below reads: "Candice didn't appreciate my creative marriage proposal." The joke: the narrator hid an engagement ring inside their body so a surgeon would discover it as a proposal, and Candice (the surgeon) rejected it. Votey (small aftercomic): A child asks their mother, "Mommy, how did Daddy first propose to you?" The mother, looking awkward, answers, "Uh... on his knees." — implying the surgeon eventually married the person whose proposal she found inside them.
