Bedtime scene. A yellow banner reads "PARENTING TIP: CHILDREN ARE STUPID!" A small child sits up in bed in a dark room, talking to a parent who appears only as a black silhouette. The parent cheerfully says, "Sweetie, the craziest thing happened! Your dachshund metamorphosed into this beagle!" The child asks, "W-when?" The parent replies, "Right after I ran over a... pile of ketchup... and bones... and dachshund fur." Votey: a close-up of the silhouetted parent adding, "And your old dog's dog collar." The joke is that the parent accidentally killed the child's dog by running it over and is clumsily covering it up by claiming the new beagle is the same pet transformed.
