A four-panel SMBC comic. Two men stand talking against a blue background. The man on the right, with glasses and a mustache in a green shirt, says, "I think modern media is killing attention spans and making us stupid." In panel two he goes on: "People said that about the internet, about TV, about radio, about theatre. If you go far enough back they say it about the printing press or books in general!" In panel three his head has suddenly burst into flames, but he speaks calmly: "It's like how my head is on fire right now. Is the fire growing? Maybe. But you could've said that four seconds ago. Or six seconds ago. Or twelve seconds ago." In the final panel the brown-haired man (Dave) says, "I was going to ask about that," and the flaming man, head now fully engulfed in fire and casually scrolling a phone, replies, "It's called CONTENT, Dave." The joke: he ignores his own self-immolation to keep generating attention-grabbing content. Votey (bonus panel): a black-and-white drawing of the flaming man, head still engulfed in fire, now looking dejected, saying, "Oh man, now I'm losing to AI self-immolaters!"
