A six-panel comic told from the perspective of ants, illustrated in flat blue-gray tones with reddish-brown ant faces. The narration begins, "Let us recount the tale of the caterpillar and the ant," then declares, "The caterpillar is made of nutrition." An ant explains, "The caterpillar's body is taken to the queen," and another adds the bleak philosophy, "There is no more to existence than this." In the fifth panel an ant looks at something offscreen and says fondly, "Awww... she fell asleep," only for another ant to immediately shout in the final panel, "Feed her to the queen!" — the joke being that any moment of rest is treated as nutrition for the colony. Votey (a handwritten aftercomic note): "Before any ant people email me — let me be clear: this comic is 100% accurate, including the talking ants. — Zach", a tongue-in-cheek disclaimer signed by the author.
