A four-panel comic retelling the myth of Pandora's box. Panel 1: Zeus, a bearded man, hands a closed purple box to Pandora, a dark-haired woman in white robes, saying "Pandora... I'm giving you a box that contains all the ills that befall mankind." Panel 2: Pandora skeptically replies, "That's dumb. You can't put 'ills' in a box. They're concepts, not..." Panel 3: She opens the box to prove it's empty: "Look, see it's just an empty-" but Zeus shouts from off-panel, "Boom! I warned you! Totally warned you!" Panel 4, captioned "Later...": a man asks Zeus, "Lord Zeus... why is there suffering?" Zeus answers, "Dumb woman opened a box," pinning the blame on Pandora. Votey: a rough black-and-white sketch of Zeus in profile, smugly delivering the punchline, "And that's why women can't vote."
